Do I need a Gas Safe engineer for central heating work?
Any work on gas appliances or pipework must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. For non-gas heating work (such as fitting radiators to an existing system), any competent plumber can do the work, but we recommend a dedicated heating engineer for system work.
How much does a power flush cost?
Power flush prices depend on the number of radiators and the condition of the system. We'll assess the system and provide a fixed price before starting. Call us for current rates.
Can you add underfloor heating to my existing system?
Yes, in many cases we can connect wet underfloor heating to your existing boiler and central heating system. We'll survey the property and advise on the best approach and any required upgrades.
My radiators have cold spots. What causes that?
Cold spots at the top of a radiator usually mean trapped air – bleeding the radiator will fix it. Cold spots at the bottom indicate sludge build-up, which requires a power flush or chemical treatment. We can diagnose and resolve both issues.
Can you work in new-build homes under warranty?
Yes. We carry out warranty-compliant work in new-build homes and are familiar with the requirements of major housebuilder warranties including NHBC Buildmark.
